Hillary Herzog
Associate Professor, German Studies

 

Hillary Hope Herzog is an associate professor of German Studies. Her main areas of research include Jewish Studies, Medicine and Literature, and Austrian Studies. She is author of Vienna is Different (Berghahn 2011), a study of Viennese-Jewish literature from the mid-19th-century to the present, and co-editor of Rebirth of a Culture (Berghahn, 2008), a collection of essays exploring German/Austrian-Jewish culture at the turn of the 21st century. She co-edits The Journal of Austrian Studies. She enjoys teaching at all levels from beginning language study to graduate seminars.
