Many Geography graduate students pursue related graduate certificates during their M.A. or Ph.D. program. Some are listed below (based on those completed by recent students) and a full listing is available here. 

• Digital Mapping / New Maps Plus: this program is run by the Geography department and offers students a challenging, intensive, digital mapping curriculum that emphasizes the acquisition of technical skills—coding, GIS, web development—while also preparing students to critically address the complexity of today’s information ecosystem.

• Applied Environmental and Sustainability Studies: this program is run by the Geography department and prepares students to analyze complex environmental problems bridging  environmental studies, sustainability, and policy and governance.
